  I do not recommend sending your children to Summers County Schools. Drugs are every where in this town. I drive to go to Krogers in Hinton, Wv. And people sell drugs on the street like it is no big deal. No cops every around! I guess they are sleeping in their cars some where. L.O.L. The schools are horrible in Hinton. Teachers only care about the pay check. THEY ARE TRULY NOT EDUCATORS HERE. They don't care about the students. I have seen this time and time again. And when the teachers do wrong to a student the principal and board of educaton do nothing. They all just have each others backs. Instead of having the students back. The only good caring people I have met that work for the school system here... Is Ms. Knott. She truly truly has a passion for helping special needs children. And always puts their needs first! Ms. Young a teacher. She is very good too. She also only puts the kids first. And the same for the Assistant Principal and Principal at the high school. And Talcott Elementary now that is truly the best school to send your kids to in Summers County! All the teachers, Aides and the Principal.... Everyone there loves, cherishes, and puts the kids first over their selves. But since the board of education only cares about getting their paychecks and not the kids. And the schools in Hinton are so bad. And drugs are a huge issue here. We are already looking for a different county to move to. This is no place to raise kids!
